Armor for an Elementalist?
I'm somewhat new to the game (level 17 Fire Elem)
I was wondering in what town can I guy some good armor. How high does armor go for an elementalist. I've foung 60 in Draknor's Forge, but don't want to spend the $ if there is something better I will be able to buy soon. I would also appreciate any advice on runes to attach. Should I spend the $ on the Superior rune for 60 armor? |

the 60 AR armor at drok is the highest level of armor you can get. there are more expensive armors past drok, but they have the exact same stats as the drok armors. they only have different looks and are meant solely to suck up your gold.
so, if you want to save money, just buy the drok armor. it will be the same as the more expensive ones. my questions is, how are you level 17 at drok? are you ascended? |

That is the highest armor rating at least until chapter 2 is released. This most be his first character do to the quest he asked. So more then likely he was ran. After all I know that with my first character I was lvl 20 long before the desert.

I don't even know what ascended means. What does it mean?
I got a runner from beacons. Didn't even know what a runner was, or where Droknar's Forge was I just saw everyone else getting a runner so I joined in. I fibed a little too. I'm acutally level 16 and 1/2. Another question... What is the best place/way for a 16. 5 level to get some $? Any certian creature that is weak and has lots of $? |

but honestly, my suggestion is for you to not buy the drok armor. you should get the normal armor you can get by progressing through the game. i'm against unascended first characters having armor they're not supposed to have. it's okay for 2nd, 3rd, or 4th characters so that you can breeze them through the early game and start enjoying the ascended material with them. also, it could be one possible reasons why people get stuck in some late game missions, specifically thunderhead keep. they rely too heavily on their drok armor to breeze them through early-mid game. by the time they reach the southern shiverpeaks, they still haven't learned not to rush blindly into mobs of enemies. put it this way, if you buy drok armor now, the enemies you encounter as you progress through the game won't be much of a threat. because of this, you won't learn the skills you need to have in order to survive againts higher level enemies. it's ultimately your call, but if you start getting demolished near the end game and you don't know why, this will probably be it. |

True, you can get collectors armor that's 60 armor, but it won't have any of the bonus al that you can get with purchased armor. That bonus can make a decent amount of differance if you use the right pieces in the right area of the game.
